Martin Darrel Burkholder

Martin Darrel Burkholder, 88, of Lima, died Monday, April 5, at Lima Memorial Health System.
 
Mr. Burkholder was born July 29, 1921 to Cyrus and Stella (Hilty) Burkholder in Beaverdam. He married Irene Snider on April 20, 1947 and she survives.
 
Mr. Burkholder was a farmer and retired from Shellar Globe, Lima. He attended Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. He enjoyed gardening and visiting with people and his many friends. He graduated from Beaverdam High School.
 
Survivors include his wife, Irene Burkholder, of Lima; daughters, Pamela (Gregory) Bowsher, of Waynesfield, Ohio, Jayne (J.J.) Kaiser, of Columbia, Md.; son, Gary (fiancé – Kathy Johnston) Burkholder, of Etna, Ohio; granddaughters, Cynthia (Troy) Blubaugh, Juliana Kaiser; grandson, Ben (Stephanie) Bowsher; grandchildren, Andrew and Ashley Nelson; great-grandson, Dylan Blubaugh.
 
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kent Burkholder.
 
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, at 2 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Rev. Charles Warren will officiate. Visitation was held Wednesday, April 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hasson Cemetery in Van Buren Township.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.

Imogene Dunlap

Imogene Dunlap, 83, of Cairo, Ohio died Wednesday, March 31, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.
 
Mrs. Dunlap was born March 4, 1927 to Allen and Helen (Rummel) Stover. She married Delmer J. Dunlap on October 19, 1946; he preceded her in death on March 2, 2003.
 
Mrs. Dunlap was a homemaker, a graduate of Lima Central High School, and she had worked with the Bath Elementary School System for 20 years, retiring June 1, 1989. She was a member of the Cairo Christian Church, formerly United Church of Christ. Her interests included shopping, gardening and working with her flowers, sewing, crocheting, and golfing with her husband and their friends. Her favorite thing of all was family, being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and all of their family and school activities.
 
She is survived by a son, Jeffery J. (Teresa) Dunlap, of Cairo; daughters, Cheryl A. (Darwin) Boertje, of Lima, Nancy S. (Dan) King, of Reynoldsburg, Janice K. (Jon) Basinger, of Bluffton; a sister, Pauline (James) Core, of Cairo; grandsons, Jason (Patty) King, Mark (Melanie) Boertje, Jeremy Basinger, granddaughters, Julie (Rick) Loutzenhiser, Jennifer (Chris) Evans, Jessica (Ryan) Meyer, Janelle (Ross) Emans, Cherise (Colin) Lukehart, Kendra Dunlap, Kellie Dunlap, Lauren Dunlap; great-grandchildren, Wendesen, Bayoushe, Gracie, Addison, Calvin, Gibson.
 
She was preceded in death by twin great-grandchildren, Katherine Janelle and Jacob Daniel.
 
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at Cairo Christian Church, Cairo. Pastors Rich Rakay and Richard Hart officiated. Burial was in Cairo East Side Cemetery, Cairo. Arrangements were made by Hartman Sons Funeral Home.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Mildred Fay Morrison

Mildred Fay Morrison, 94, of Russels Point passed away at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Beckett House in New Concord, Ohio. She was born in Hancock County to the late Clarence E. and Blanche E. (Abbott) Wells. She married William A. Morrison and he preceded her in death in 2002.
 
Mrs. Morrison was also preceded in death by a son, William Wells Morrison; a grandson; son-in-law, Dennis Bame; two brothers, Richard and James Lee Wells and five sisters, Margaret M. Swanson, Mary Ellen Jackson, Ruth Wells, Patricia Poppe and Donna Jean Werner. Mrs. Morrison is survived by two daughters, Karen S. Bame of Marion and Linda K. (Phillip) Dever, of Norwich; three grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; a brother, C. Joe (Betty) Wells and two sisters, Deane Faine and Phyllis Lou Harruff.
 
She worked at Triplett in Bluffton for many years and was a former member of the Mt. Cory United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home.
