Jean Marshall Cahill of Jacksonville, FL died August 13, 2010. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, musician (piano, violin, and organ; Cleveland, Ohio chamber music quartet), seamstress, knitter, embroiderer, cookie maker, painter, greeting card designer, correspondent and sender of newspaper clippings, frog maker (fabric and ceramic), First Mate on Genii (their boat), and avid golfer.
Jean was born in Pandora, Ohio on December 10, 1920, the only child of Ethel K. and Orlo P. Marshall. She graduated from Bluffton High School in 1938 and Miami University (Ohio) in 1942, majoring in music.
She was predeceased by Lysle Dwight Cahill, her beloved husband of sixty-six years. She is survived by her daughter Lynne Carey (Austin) of West Hartford, Connecticut; grandsons Bryan Carey (Sarah) of Washington, D.C. and Preston Carey (Sonya) of Newburyport, Massachusetts; and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2010 in Egret Hall at Cypress Village, 4600 Middleton Park Circle East, Jacksonville. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be held at a later date.
