Sauder family art exhibit
He came here for business and marketing, but the legacy of Jerry H. Sauder forever will be the arts.
The Sauder Visual Arts Center at Bluffton University was named for Jerry H. Sauder, an honor that is somewhat ironic due to the nature of his studies and chicken farming during the 1920s. But it is this honor that has been influential in the choice of the show that premiered in the Grace Albrecht Gallery on April 20.
The “Sauder Family Artists” show will be on display from April 20 through May 11. The featured artists are Sauder’s three children: Carlton, Kathryn, and Carolyn, all of whom, like their father, are Bluffton graduates.
