Edgar Eugene Wenger, 77, of Bluffton, died April 7, 2010 at Bluffton Hospital.
He was born September 29, 1932 to Oscar and Frances “Fannie” Flythe Wenger in Bluffton. He married Rita Quillin Wenger on June 28, 1958 and she survives.
Mr. Wenger was a tradesman in machine repair. He retired from Dana Corporation, Lima. He was a member of the Local UAW #1765 and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bluffton. He had been a past member of the Bluffton Fire Department. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren playing sports at Bluffton High School and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed all of his family vacations, especially trips to Cedar Point. He was an avid card player. He was a 1950 Bluffton High School graduate.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Wenger, of Bluffton; sons, Chris (Rhonda) Wenger, of Bluffton, Eddie (Lisa) Wenger, of Bluffton, Tim (Angie) Wenger, of Bluffton; eight grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Steiner. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Anna Marie Wenger.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 12, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bluffton. Father John Stites officiated. Visitation was Sunday, April 11, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Burial was at Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
