Two incoming students at Bluffton University have been awarded the university's full-tuition Presidential Scholarships valued at approximately $98,000 for four years, while three others have received Dean's Scholarships, worth roughly $73,500 over the same period.
Jared Horstman of Cloverdale, Ohio and Sarah Inskeep of Radnor, Ohio are the Presidential Scholarship recipients. They were the winners of Bluffton's 12th annual Presidential Scholarship competition, which brought 82 high-achieving high school seniors to campus to write an essay in response to a faculty lecture and previously assigned readings.
Awarded for the second year, the Dean's Scholarships went to incoming students Kayla Mullenhour of Delphos, Ohio; Natalie Nikitas of Jeffersonville, Ind.; and Nicole Swavel of Oceola, Ohio.
Each scholarship is renewable at Bluffton with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
